Lightbulb Do you think its worth...

Hey, im a solid PVP player and have been doing constant TA for around 4 month, so no PVE for along time, i'd really like some FoW on a monk, so i thought i'd create a pve monk , level it, then farm for FoW...do you think its worth it since GW2 is near?
Opinionated feedback would be great.
Thanks

It would be quite an investment of time. I ~love~ my PvE monk, and getting her FoW was one of her favorite things. I suppose only you can say really if the time investment would be worth it. Depends on how much longer you envision playing. GW2 is a ways off and GW will be around at least until then.

Doesnt hurt to create the PvE monk and start down the path. I'd recommend that at least.

only you can answer that question. We play the game for fun (or at least thats why you should) and if you want to do that and think its fun, then do it.

getting her to ToA/Corridor/Chantry and complete those silly quests takes very little effort. The money however takes a bit longer

Guild Wars will be still playable after GW2 has launched.

You can make money from PvP by selling z-keys and loot from HoH chest (the current rate is what... 3keys = 2ecto?), so you can "farm" your FoW by PvPing, or at least significantly cut the amount of farming you need to do.

Well, it's gonna fit great in your HoM if you have EotN. Of course every monk and their dog seems to have FoW armour these days so I was kinda turned off by that.
Still I got it for my para and am glad I did and am getting a set for my ritu (both are female btw) so there is some certain satisfaction from that.

seconded, not that it matters but i went with labarythine tats, myself.

and i think if you enjoy playing the game on your own and not always with other people, doing a little PvE is definitely for you. besides, no one says you can't delete the character if you end up not liking it. lol.

/agree.
I think that no FOW armor looks good by itself, only in a mix of some sort. THE only reason to get whole set is for HoM.

Starter armor for monks is better than FoW IMO.

But if you really want it because it looks good for you. Go for it!

I'd have to disagree, monks with All black fow, chaos gloves and a bandanna are the fugliest things I've ever seen.

To the OP yeah, go for it

Nah no armor is worth it anymore since GW1 is going to die anyways when GW2 comes out. You might as well just keep having fun in TA and forget about the PVE game it's pretty much done for since there's not going to be anymore new content and even if there were with GW1 dying anyways it's all just wasted time now until GW2 comes out.

I came into guild wars knowing it was gonna end eventually but it's just a game in the end. Who expected it to last forever?
